Bike

Here in Squamish, we have a lot of weather to deal with. I'm a fair weather cyclist for two reasons: I don't like the cold; and I want to ensure that I'm riding in the safest of conditions where I can easily see vehicles and drivers can easily see me.

I have learned to spin on my indoor trainer. It's a superbly efficient way to train. The trainer doesn't need to be the latest. It needs to be easily accessible.

When outside, we have two main options for longer spins: north to Whistler and back, or south to Horseshoe Bay or further and back. I aim to ride when the traffic is at a minimum. That means early - when the sun wakes for the day.
